The Brief
The client required a new timber boundary fencing solution and double gate installation to create a secure, practical, and professional-looking boundary for their grounds maintenance compound. The existing fencing was worn, with an open section that needed to be fully enclosed while still allowing access.
The aim was to install a strong timber fence line with matching bespoke timber gates to improve security, privacy, and appearance. As the site was large and exposed, the fencing needed to be durable and installed to a high standard by a reliable fencing contractor in Milton Keynes.
CC Fencing, as experienced local fencing specialists, provided a complete solution, from preparation through to installation, including suitable gate ironmongery and a clean, secure finish.
The Challenge
The main challenge was creating a strong, reliable boundary across an exposed area. This required careful setting out, accurate post installation, and robust materials to ensure long-term stability, especially as strong winds can build up across the open ground.
The double gates also required precise installation. Gates often fail if they are poorly fitted, so the posts, hinges, bolts, and alignment all had to be exact. They needed to operate smoothly while withstanding regular use.
The site required careful working around grassed areas, existing boundaries, and access points, with a focus on maintaining a straight, secure fence line that was both functional and visually consistent.
Our Approach
We began by clearing the boundary line and removing the old fencing and materials. Once the area had been prepared, we carefully set out the new fence line to ensure a straight, secure installation.
New timber posts were installed to create a strong framework for the new fencing. As timber fencing in Milton Keynes must withstand varying weather conditions, we ensured all materials were suitable for long-term durability. Gravel boards were fitted to protect the base of the fence and extend its lifespan.
The bespoke timber double gates were installed using heavy-duty hinges, bolts, drop bolts, and latches to create a secure, long-lasting access point. Careful attention was given to alignment and support to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
Once the installation was complete, the site was cleared, all waste was removed, and the area was left clean and tidy.
