The Brief
A repeat client at a new-build property in Fairfields, Milton Keynes, wanted to upgrade their existing fence and gate to something more secure, durable, and visually appealing. As part of our bespoke fencing services, we were asked to deliver a high-quality fencing installation that Milton Keynes homeowners can rely on. Although the original fencing was relatively new, it had already begun to weather and lacked the privacy and finish the client wanted for their patio and side access area.
The goal was to install high-quality timber fencing with a bespoke side gate that would enhance privacy, improve security, and complement the property’s modern exterior, while working carefully around existing features such as the patio, driveway, and boundary walls.
The Challenge
This fencing and side gate installation in Milton Keynes required precision due to the surrounding hard landscaping, including patio slabs, a block-paved driveway, and tight access points. The new fence line needed to align perfectly with the existing layout without disrupting to, or damage to, the surrounding surfaces.
In addition, the bespoke timber side gate had to be accurately fitted between the house wall and the fence line, ensuring smooth operation and a secure, lockable finish. As the installation is highly visible from both the driveway and patio, achieving a clean, professional appearance from every angle was essential.
Our Approach
We began by carefully removing the old fencing and gate before preparing the boundary for the new installation. Strong, pressure-treated timber posts and framing were installed to create a solid and long-lasting structure.
The new timber fence panels were fitted with precision, ensuring they followed the existing boundary line and aligned neatly with the patio and driveway edges. We then installed a custom-built timber side gate, complete with heavy-duty hinges, a secure latch, lock, and a traditional ring handle for ease of use.
To enhance the overall finish and reduce maintenance, decorative stone edging was added along the base of the fence, creating a clean separation between the fencing and the surrounding surfaces.
